Single Session Therapy

A single longer session, accessible in hours or days to work on a specific problem

There are times when a person…

  • Needs to collaborate with a therapist over a specific problem

  • Is searching for a therapist, but has not yet found the right match and would like to talk to someone now.

  • Have a time sensitive issue for which you need a collaborative session.

  • immediate support with specific problems like acute stress, difficult decisions, grief, or relationship conflicts

Sometimes you need help now, or want to work on an issue, but aren’t ready for regular therapy sessions

A Single Session Sometimes Makes Sense

Single Session Therapy (SST) can be the perfect solution if you need to work on a specific issue or want timely access to a therapist during your search for the right long-term fit. During this single you can collaborate with a skilled therapist to help address and resolve a specific problem. This session can address acute and time-specific issues as well. These sessions can be scheduled within a few days.

SST is a 90-120 minute session in which you will fill out a pre session questionnaire, and meet with a therapist who will collect relevant information about your problem and collaborate with you on solutions that can be immediately executed. The therapist will follow up the session with a call to review success of the session, and to suggest additional tips and resources.
